BOSA: A Family Beyond School Walls

BOSA began with a simple instinct shared by the very first batch that passed out in 1990: the desire to stay connected to the school and to one another. In its early years, alumni interactions were informal and largely facilitated by the school, creating spaces for former students to reconnect, meet again, and stay in touch with familiar faces.

As the number of alumni grew across batches and decades, so did the need for a more structured and alumni-driven platform. What started as occasional reunions and conversations gradually evolved into a shared intent to build something lasting. BOSA today is that evolving platform, a space created to bring alumni together, enable networking, and strengthen connections across generations.

Now formally registered as an association, BOSA is in the process of shaping a strong, inclusive alumni network. While the community continues to grow, its purpose is clear: to create meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration, and engagement, while staying true to the shared experiences that bind every Birla Vidya Niketan alumnus together.

Our Mission

The mission of BOSA is to nurture lifelong relationships among alumni while creating opportunities for learning, mentorship, collaboration, and giving back. It aims to provide a platform where alumni can support one another, share experiences, and stay meaningfully engaged with the school and its community.

Through collective effort and participation, BOSA seeks to strengthen connections that benefit individuals, students, and society at large.

1990 | Where It All Began
The first batch of Birla Vidya Niketan graduates, marking the beginning of a growing alumni community rooted in shared experiences and values.
1990-2020 | Alumni-Led Connections
Across three decades, alumni stay connected through self-organised batch meet-ups and informal initiatives. Many contribute responsibly towards the school, maintaining strong ties and a culture of giving back.
2020-2023 | Active Engagement
Alumni involvement becomes more visible and structured through workshops, mentoring sessions, guest talks, and student-facing initiatives, strengthening alumni-student interaction.
2024 | Back to the Field
BOSA hosts Back to Field Games, bringing alumni back to campus through sport, nostalgia, and shared school spirit.
2025 | Landmark Gatherings
BOSA scales engagement with major community events including BOSA Winter Carnival, BOSA Rangilo Raas, and Back to Field Games 2.0, strengthening cross-generational bonds and establishing an active alumni culture.
19 May 2025 | Formal Formation of BOSA
The Birla Old Students Association (BOSA) is formally registered, bringing decades of alumni connection under one unified, structured platform.
2026 | Growing Forward
With BOSA Winter Carnival 2026 and expanding professional and social initiatives, BOSA enters a phase of sustained engagement and collective growth.
